My fascination for weather kicked off at an early age and I remember watching every local news channel for the latest report. My interest quickly grew into my passion as I knew that one day I would be a meteorologist.
As a kid, nothing was more exciting to me than weather. I enjoyed watching it storm, tracking severe or winter weather through local news, and even reciting the forecast to whomever needed it. My desire to study and understand weather only grew after experiencing the Blizzard of 1998 in Central Kentucky. I was born and raised in Lexington, KY and lived there for much of my life. After graduating Morehead State in 2008 and becoming an Eagle Alum, I knew that my schooling was unfinished. I headed down to Western Kentucky University and finished my meteorology degree in 2014. I was fortunate enough during my schooling at Western to pick up a morning weather position at WNKY-TV. After my first year as the morning meteorologist, I was promoted to the Chief Meteorologist spot and moved to evenings. After two years at WNKY, I made a move to the mountains of Eastern Kentucky. I am now the Chief Meteorologist at WYMT-TV. Outside of weather, I enjoy other activities such as lifting, running, hanging out with my wife and daughter, and visiting various attractions across the state. |
